Immaculate Conception - New Bathroom
ICC Handicap Bathroom
One of the confessionals in the nave of Immaculate Conception Church has been designated to become a handicap bathroom. The architectural plans were designed by W. Michael Campbell Architect who has done work for OLA in the past including the elevator project at the St. Joachim Campus. The drawings meet or exceed all city technical codes for handicap bathrooms.
The bathroom will offer partially tiled walls, handicap accessible sink and toilet, baby changing table, hand dryer, emergency lighting and an emergency call system should anyone inside require assistance.
The permit applications were filed with the City of Trenton on February 13, 2017 and the permit was ready for pickup on February 16, 2017 and is duly posted at the job site. Demolition work and rough electrical work began on February 20, 2017. ACS Electric who has done much work at OLA is handling the electric while Ted’s Plumbing and Dean Gallo Construction (also with an OLA history) is handling plumbing and rough and finish carpentry, respectively. Our goal is to have the bathroom ready for use by this coming Holy week, or sooner.
