LADIES OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

The Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament was canonically established in 1953 by Bishop George Ahr at Immaculate Conception parish. The purpose of our organization is to increase and develop in the faithful a great personal love for Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Some ways in which our organization accomplishes this goal are the following: - Corporate monthly Mass for living and deceased members on the first Sunday of every month at 9:30 am at ICC Mass is preceded by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament exposition, Ladies' prayers, prayers by our deacon, Benediction) at 9 am - On the 3rd Sunday of every month, we pray or sing the Divine Mercy chaplet at 9 am prior to the 9:30 am Mass. Our goal is to have this occur during adoration as well. It is so important to bring Christ's mercy on our community, our nation, and our world. Other benefits include: - members pray at a deceased member's wake and participate in her funeral Mass - a Mass for the deceased member is also offered by the organization (an added spiritual benefit) - get-well cards are sent to sick members, sympathy cards to family of recently deceased members We invite any woman who is interested is helping us to spread this devotion in our parish community to "Come and See" by joining us for adoration and the 9:30 am Mass on the first and 3rd Sunday of each month. Funds collected by the organization are used for the sanctuary or any church-related need requested by the pastor.
